Following the photo shoots, players shared what Media Day and HW Tennis meant to them, from building team chemistry to having fun in front of the camera. For many, Media Day made the season feel official and highlighted personal goals and the unity of the team.
“Seasonal Media Day will help us see each other’s personality with the photos,” Noah koo ’27 said.
Media day is for every team at the beginning of their season and helps teammates learn more about each other personally, as the photo shoots allow players to show their personalities to strengthen team chemistry.
“I’m excited to hit a tough pose for the picture and meet all of my future teammates,” Oliver Shayfer ’29 said.
Players feel an opportunity to feel more connected to the program through teammates and also having fun during the pictures.
“My favorite part of Media Day was taking my personal photo for the team picture,” Adler Carson ’29 said. “It was great to see my photo look professional.”
Individual and personal photos make the players feel like they are truly a part of the team. Seeing their photos helps them validate their hard work as a team.
“Seeing everyone come together as a team was really great,” Julian Lichtman ’29 said.
Tennis Media Day had an inclusive environment where new and returning players could come together as one team.
