On Wednesday, May 20, the Asian American Culture Club celebrated Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month during Community Time in Hazy 229 with a fun and interactive trivia featuring hwachae as the prize.
Participants from grades 7th through 9th answered trivia questions related to AAPI history and culture, and students who answered correctly were rewarded with cups of hwachae, which was made using strawberry milk, Sprite, and an assortment of fresh fruits.
The event created a very lively atmosphere as students socialized, tested their knowledge, and celebrated AAPI cultures.
“I really enjoyed the trivia, and it was overall a very fun experience,” Diane Euth ’31 said.
Club members said the event was designed to bring students together while highlighting the importance of AAPI Heritage Month through food, activities, and community engagement. Many students attended throughout Community Time, and club leaders described the event as a great success and the final meeting of the year, ending the school year on a positive note.
