The Wolverine’s season came to an end in a hard-fought loss during their final game, but the effort and growth shown on the court reflected a group that matured with every matchup.
The season may have ended with a loss, but the freshman team’s final game showcased how far they’ve come — a young group laying the foundation for future success.
“We grew more as a team by improving teamwork and individual skills. This basketball season was not only a time where we learned new things but also had a lot of fun,” Kyan Wiedman ’29.
Wiedman led the team in 3-pointers with 4 of them and finished the game with a total of 12 points.
Mason Tyau ’29 said “I think our chemistry improved a lot. Knowing which players were better at which things and developing into our roles on the team.”
Tyau’s defense instilled a fire in the team that pushed them to the final buzzer. Tyau had 3 blocks and 2 steals.
A back-and-forth fourth quarter saw the lead change repeatedly, but the Wolverines ultimately fell 50–47, ending their season with a 16–11 record.
