Students gathered in Saperstein Theater on September 26 for the Spirit Day assembly, prior to Homecoming the following day. The assembly consisted of a dance-off between members of the dance classes, a competition for most spirit among students, and a push-up contest between faculty members.
The event was carefully planned out by Student Council (Stu-Co) and faculty, including Director of Student Affairs, Sarah Louise Tooke ’04.
“We had a rehearsal on the 25th to preview what the prep rally would look like and make any necessary adjustments,” 9th Grade Senator Trevor Kim ‘29 said. “We also held a Stu-Co meeting to discuss the details of what we needed and wanted to accomplish for Spirit Day.”
“I really enjoyed the dance-off because the music was really upbeat and it was really entertaining to see people have fun while dancing,” Juha Kim ’29 said.
“My favorite part of the assembly was the dance-off because the music was good and it was really hype,” Natasha Ajmera ’31 said.
Following the assembly, the students gathered on the field for a fun round of games which included a bouncy castle, a teacher dunk tank, and a ring toss.
