From brainstorming hilarious sketches to filming skits, the Comedy Club had become a network of creativity and fun, meeting on Day 6 during community time. Led by Micah Perlin ’30, the Comedy Club has grown into one of the school’s most creative groups. Members in the club can collaborate to make sketches, and learn the ins and outs of comedy production. They welcome anyone interested in comedy or writing and no experience is required.
“We write sketches that we all think is funny and when we are done we film them for the end of the year party and video. “If you like any type of comedy or just want to write there are many things you can do,” Perlin said.
The club welcomes people with all interests, from writers to performers, making the club a space with diverse creativity.
“We have people who just write or work behind the scenes,” Perlin said.
Not everyone in the club has to perform. Some members write, and aren’t in the direct spotlight of the camera.
“Last year we didn’t have enough time to make all of the sketches and now this year we have made twice the amount of sketches just in the first part,” Perlin said.
The club has been able to double in production finishing countless new sketches before Thanksgiving Break.
