Students came together to celebrate Halloween on October 31 with costumes, candy, and festive spirit filling the halls.
Halloween has been a long-standing tradition at the school, allowing students to express themselves through costumes and enjoy a break from their usual routine-filled day. This day included classroom celebrations with plenitudes of candy and costume contests.
“Our costumes took over a month to plan, but we were very happy and excited to show them to our classmates,” Parker Kim ‘29 said.
Kim, Emilia Serfozo ‘29, Joseph Holly ‘29, and Noah Hailu ‘31 all planned elaborate individual costumes to celebrate Halloween. Kim was a mime, Holly was Ishmael from the game, Limbus Company, Hailu was a soldier, and Serfozo was a jester. Serfozo and Kim both put on face makeup, while Holly carried around a flag of Don Quixote and a shield throughout the day.
“I love getting candy and seeing all the fun costumes,” Ellie Oh ‘29 said., Halloween on campus encourages creativity and connection among students. It is a time when classmates bond over similar or impressive costumes and showcase individuality through costume design.
“I love hanging out with my friends and getting candy,” Mariam Wone ‘31 said.
Wone dressed up as a pirate, complete with a sword and a hat to finish her look. The exciting day ended with anticipation for the night to come, filled with non-stop candies and fun.
