Middle school students had the opportunity to bring their loved ones to school to celebrate Grandparents and Special Friends Day on Friday May 2, 2025.
“It’s always great to see my grandkids, but it was so amazing to get to go to class with them,” Doreen Nortman said.
She spent the day going to Latin and Spanish with her grandchildren Jack Nortman ’28 and Layla Blumenthal ’28.
When asked about her experience during grandparents day, Sophie Ro ’28 said, “It was so much fun spending time with my grandparents and I loved taking them to classes with me.”
Grandparent’s and Special friends day is a unique opportunity for students to connect with their grandparents and devote the day to going to classes together. After going to two class periods, students were able to eat lunch, take photo booth pictures and introduce their grandparents to their friends and teachers.
