Each spring, the middle school holds a dodgeball tournament where students form teams and can include a faculty member. Crowds of people are able to watch the tournament during break.
“As far as I know, the dodgeball tournament has been running since 2005,” Math teacher Cole Hoffman said.
Hoffman has participated in the dodgeball tournament since he began teaching here three years ago. The tournament has been a longstanding tradition for the middle school.

“My understanding was that this was student-conceived. I want to say one of the original students came back for the 20th anniversary game,” adviser Tim Smith said.
Smith is the coordinator of the dodgeball tournament. A lot of credit doesn’t go to the work he puts in. For example, taking photos during the matches and organizing when games happen. Smith enjoys contributing to this tradition at the middle school in any way he can.
