Player Spotlight: Valentina Ganocy

Tess Latham ’27

Field hockey player Valentina Ganocy ’27 placed second in the 2021 Junior Olympics and was selected for the 2021 Nexus tournament last summer. Now, she plays on the middle school team as a midfielder. Ganocy enjoys field hockey because she immerses herself in the game and abandons the everyday stresses of her life.

“It’s just fun,” Ganocy said. “I feel like everything from outside of field hockey goes away and I can just play.”

Driven by support from her mom and coaches, Ganocy plans to continue playing field hockey at the upper school.
