Final exams have long seemed far off for ninth graders, but as May approaches a close, finals are just around the corner.
For several school days in the last week of May and the beginning of June, students will take their final exams. Ninth grade students will come to school and take one exam per day, covering several of their core classes.
“Since biology is on the last day, I will have put so much effort into studying for the earlier tests,” said Gyan Zinn ’28. “I wish biology was first since it’s the hardest.”
The final exam schedule includes math and language on Thursday and Friday, followed by biology on Tuesday. This schedule has prompted students to plan their studying carefully.
“I like that I have the whole weekend to study for biology because it has the most information,” said Avery Thompson ’28.
Despite the upcoming dates, many ninth graders have only just started to think about preparing.
“I think the review days will help me stay on track,” said Zinn. “They give us a good foundation without needing to cram everything.”
Others are still juggling the regular workload that comes before finals begin.
“There are still a lot of assignments and tests before finals,” said Thompson. “Once those are done, I’ll be able to focus more on studying.”
