Katelyn Kim ‘28 is a member of the middle school golf team. Kim’s passion for the sport began around two years ago when her father first taught her how to play golf at the age of 12. For Kim, golf allows her to create a stronger connection with her friends because of their shared passion for the sport.

“Even if golf is an individual sport, for me it’s also about friendship,” Kim said. “The reason why I enjoy playing golf is because I was able to become closer with a lot of my friends.”

One of Kim’s favorite memories from golf was when she made a hole-in-one while playing with one of her friends. Throughout her two-year journey, she has learned many valuable lessons such as patience and teamwork.

In the future, she hopes to join the Harvard-Westlake Girls Varsity Golf Team and enter more tournaments.
