Player Spotlight: Jesus Jimenez ’28

Luke Touloumian 27′

Jesus Jimenez ’28 is a middle school water polo player. He plays for the Los Angeles Premier water polo club on the 14 and under team. He has been playing for six years, and plans on continuing into high school.

“The most fun thing about playing water polo is going to tournaments and playing other teams to get to know and compete with them,” Jimenez said.

Jesus enjoys playing water polo as well as meeting new people and making new friends.

Dariush Ghassemieh ’27
Dariush Ghassemieh ’27 is a water polo player and a first-year Spectrum reporter. After taking intro to yearbook last year in 8th grade, Dariush decided to take HW Media this year. “I chose to take HW Media, because I took yearbook last year and I thought it would be a fun experience to work with all other classes of media,” Dariush said. He wants to further his career in HW Media at the upper campus. “I wish to take yearbook at the upper school, no part in specific, but I enjoy reporting on the different aspects of school and different parts of school life,” Dariush said.
Luke Touloumian 27′
Luke Touloumian ’27 is a first year reporter for The Spectrum. He plays baseball and football and is taking his passion for sports into the media world. “I think media is cool because we are able to broadcast different sports, and, you know, share the latest updates with the Harvard Westlake community,” Touloumian said. Touloumian has shown interest in broadcasting and wants to move forward in that realm of media, as well as writing sports pieces for The Chronicle. Touloumian said he is excited to move forward as a part of Spectrum and can’t wait for what the future holds.
