Charlie Sherwood ’29, Reporter, Editor
Charlie Sherwood ’29 comes from a family deeply connected to journalism and hopes to follow that same path. He has taken journalism classes over the summer and has always enjoyed writing. His older brother, now in college, previously worked on the Chronicle, something Charlie hopes to do in the future as well.
Outside the newsroom, Charlie plays varsity soccer at Harvard-Westlake. Although he has played the sport his whole life, he began competing seriously in seventh grade. What draws him most to soccer is the balance between teamwork and competition. He enjoys the way teammates push each other to improve, while also appreciating the game’s physical intensity.
Ecstatic to join the Spectrum staff, Charlie said, “I am really excited to write articles and learn more about the community.”
Charlie also lived in New York for four years and loves traveling to places like Bora Bora and Japan. Whether exploring new cities, trying different foods, or meeting new people, he enjoys experiencing unfamiliar places and cultures. At home, he has a dog named Theo.
