LiFe Advice with Leo and Fallon !

How should I bond with the new ninth graders? (’23)

Fallon: I think there’s two ways to go about this depending on where you stand. If you’ve been here for a while, like Leo and myself, reaching out to a new ninth grader can do more than you think. It’s scary coming into a new environment where everyone knows each other, and any act of kindness can make a newbie feel welcome. Whether it be complimenting someone’s outfit, inviting a classmate to sit at your table, or making conversation on the shuttle bus, we have a responsibility to play student ambassador until our new 91 feel at home.

Leo: On the other hand, if you are a new ninth grader looking to get to know other new ninth graders, I think you already have something obvious to talk about. This being that you are new to an environment to which so many others are already accustomed. New ninth graders also have advisory to get to know each other, and, though I am not in any of these advisories, I found that, in seventh grade, the advisory class, when I opened myself to it, was very useful in getting to know people with various interests.
