Aidan Akhmetov ’30 plays the bassoon for Harvard-Westlake’s Concert Band, and is a skilled wrestler for the school team and club. Aidan’s favorite class in school is English, and he often writes creative writing and essay topics such as persuasion. When asked why he joined the HW Media class, Aidan said,
“I decided to pursue journalism because I thought it would be fun, and I want to go to all the events and interview people. Journalism also seemed fun, and it is something new I wanted to try out.”
Outside of school, Aidan enjoys learning Arabic, and horseback riding. Every summer, Aidan travels to Kazakhstan, his home country, riding his family’ s horses.
