HW Choirs Wrapped

What music genres do middle school singers listen to?
HW Choirs Wrapped

Have you ever wondered how your music taste differs from a member of HW chorus? What music genres do they listen to? We asked chorus members their number one artist and song from Spotify Wrapped.
Sage Bonnotto ‘27, a member of Madrigals, said his number one artist was Bruno Mars.
“Chorus does not affect my music taste at all,” Bonnotto said.
Terry Ok ‘27, whose top artist was Drake, agreed with this statement.
“We listen to different types of music, not just what we perform.”
Ryan Choi 27’ said his top artist is Coldplay, who was not performed in Chorus.

How does this differ from other people? Marcus Olsen ‘27 and Matteo Duffy-Seidenberg ‘27, HW Band members, listened to different artists. Olsen, had the top Artist of Sam Barber, a country artist. Duffy-Seidenberg’s top artist was Pink Floyd.
Kate Kleeman ‘27, a cross country runner had the number one artist of Taylor Swift. Shane Handman ‘27, another runner, had the number one artist of Kendrick Lamar.

We can conclude from this data that the Chorus members and other students have different music tastes. However, all people listen to different genres of music and there is not one consensus genre, among all chorus members, or all other people. This shows a diverse taste in music cannot be categorized for one group of people.
