Abby Ryan ’27, Reporter
Abby Ryan '27 is a soccer and field hockey player and first year Spectrum reporter. She decided to take HW media because she was interested in different perspectives and how people tell their perspective in media. After taking media for the modern age last year in 8th grade, she is eager to learn more about journalism and storytelling. Her favorite part about HW Media is learning how to write, different types of writing and how they differ. She also plans to continue writing at the upper school.
Riley Romans ’27, Reporter
Riley Romans ’27 loves journalism. Romans has just started her career in HW Media because she’s always loved writing, especially about sports. Her favorite media is yearbook and she enjoys photography. Hopefully one day she will be able to take pictures for the yearbook and contribute to that. She is driven by the feeling of accomplishment and being fulfilled.
“I think it’s cool how you can write about different events and tell people about news, current stories, and sports events,” Riley Romans said.
Elle Kirman ’27, Reporter
Elle Kirman ’27 is interested in journalism because she wants to learn about how journalism is portrayed to us. When asked what her favorite type of journalism she had many different options.
“I think my favorite type of writing would be investigative journalism for Chronicle,” Kirman said. "I also enjoy writing funny pieces."
She is a part of HW Media, and last year, she took the Media for the Modern Age. She said she is eager to learn more about journalism.
