As hard as it is to leave the Cruel Summer and go back to regular School Days, listening to these songs may make it a little bit easier! And in the midst of learning material for your classes, we challenge you to memorize the “Cruel Summer” bridge – it might be harder than your science flashcards!

MOVIE OF THE WEEK:If you feel the need to take a break from studying or you have run out of movies to watch with your family over the weekend, “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” is guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

Camryn Banafsheha ’27 is a first year Spectrum reporter. She enjoys interviewing people, and she truly loves to write as a part of the journalism team. She started off writing as a hobby and loves to write formally for school. She writes the weekly Wolverweek, which gives an overview of the week’s events, athletics, and some funny fails from students. Banafsheha plans on joining the Chronicle at the upper school and to continue pursuing her passion for journalism.

Tali Gurule, Editor

Tali Gurule ’27 is an editor and reporter on the Spectrum. Gurule is passionate about news reporting. “I love uncovering compelling stories and sharing them with the Harvard-Westlake community,” Gurule said. Gurule also co-writes Wolverweek, a weekly column about life at the Middle School. Gurule enjoys many leadership positions at Harvard-Westlake. In addition to being editor of the Spectrum, she is co-chair of the student ambassador program and a leader of LAHSO and JCAAC.
