Thursday: Archery Club

If you’re interested in archery and want to show off your skills at the range, then Archery Club is for you. This club was founded by a national archery player, Ryan Moon, and is sponsored by science teachers Daniella Ellingson and Tara Eitner. It meets on Thursdays in Seaver 101 during break and goes over all things archery related: different types of bows, shooting techniques (let’s admit, the thing we’re all interested in is how to get a bulls-eye) and much more.
“At Archery Club, archery is viewed as a way to unwind and a sport for zen and meditation,” Eitner said.
Safety is their number one priority, which is why there are no arrows and shooting on campus. However, the club gathers everyone together on a weekend (usually Saturday) and goes to the Rancho Park shooting range (don’t worry, bows are provided). Archery Club is for all different skill levels, so don’t worry if you don’t have much experience.
