Wednesday: HW Venture

Harvard-Westlake Venture Club (HW Venture) meets every Wednesday and provides an opportunity for students to learn about entrepreneurship and how to start their own businesses. Students learn how to critically think and use teamwork to solve problems. The club began at the upper school a few years ago, founded by creative students and is now run by a group of 20 students who educate and advise fellow classmates about entrepreneurship.
“Venture works to teach students to have a new mindset especially in creating new things,” Eric Vartany ‘24, a leader of the club, said. “One aspect is creating new startups and new change in the community.”

Students are provided with help along the way when creating businesses. “Venture provides students with alumni support, provides grants of money to student startups and helps students learn new skill sets,” Vartany said. “We hope to see you there!”
