When you think of Harvard-Westlake you probably think about the amazing sports teams, talented bands, or the amazing visual arts. However, The HW choruses are very underrated and should be in that conversation. We interviewed tenor Terry Ok ‘27 about his experience in Madrigals, one of the most advanced singing groups.
“I used to only like singing by myself, but now I have come to love singing together in the choir. Mr. Keilbach is also a fantastic chorus teacher. He’s the amazing leader that helps the choir have teamwork,” Ok said.
One theme in HW Chorus this year is Christian songs.
“We are doing a lot of Christian songs this year,”Madrigals singer Fletcher Graham 27’ said.
They will do other songs covering many diverse cultures. In the past they’ve performed songs, “Vive L’Amour ” in French, “Shalom Rav” in Hebrew, and “Ocho Kandelikas” in Latin.
