Philo Hornby-Simmons ’28 is a journalist who loves all sports, but his main passion and focus is tennis. In his free time, he enjoys taking his dog, Mungo, on long walks or going to the mall with friends.
Additionally, when asked about his interests, he said he loves watching basketball and cheering on his favorite team, the Golden State Warriors.
When Hornby-Simmons was asked why he chose to take HW Media and Journalism, he said he hopes to combat—or at the very least, reduce—the spread of misinformation. He aims to do this by highlighting voices from different backgrounds with varying perspectives, opinions and values. He also wants people to learn from and engage with the work he produces and the articles he writes.
