Ila Bakaya ’28 is a 15-year-old 9th grader. Bakaya’s favorite hobby is surfing.
“It’s convenient, freeing, and peaceful,” she says.
When she’s not riding waves or in her room writing poetry, you can find Bakaya hanging out with friends. Bakaya values honesty and accuracy and hopes to fulfill these values while working for The Spectrum.
“I hope to write more wholesome community-based stories,” she says.
