Evalina Gerencher ’27 is a first-year HW Media reporter. Gerencher is passionate about working on the Vox Populi yearbook, having been a staff writer at her previous school for two years. In addition to the yearbook, Gerencher is zealous about journalism, specifically writing about sports, electives, and clubs.

“I think media literacy is very important for students and young people our age because a lot of adults say we are the future,” Gerencher said. “Knowing about the real world and what’s happening around you is very important because those kinds of things influence your actions.”

Additionally, Gerencher is an avid dancer, participating in many dance competitions and conventions. In the future, she would like to expand her limits and work on all types of writing that correlates to the yearbook.
