The Jewish Club hosted its Hanukkah celebration on Wednesday, Dec. 18, bringing the school community together to celebrate the holiday with food, games and joy.
With the holiday season in full swing, the club aimed to create a meaningful experience for the Jewish community while ensuring the celebration was not overshadowed.
“All of my fellow leaders and members are looking forward to this Hanukkah celebration,” club leader Lukas Magna ’28 said. “There’s going to be food, drinks, games and more.”
Students from across the school joined in, drawn by the event’s fun spirit and welcoming atmosphere.
“Even though I’m not Jewish, all my friends are in the club, so I’m going to hang out and have fun,” member Alex Levin ’28 said.
During the event, which took place at the start of winter break, student Miro Katan ’28 took the lead to ensure everything ran smoothly.
Attendees enjoyed classic Jewish treats like latkes, jelly donuts and gelt.
“I came for the games and stayed for the food,” Walker Kats ’28 said.
The celebration also included a Hanukkah-themed Blooket, with winners receiving bags of chocolate gelt.
Reflecting on the event, Magna said, “It was a huge success.”
