Everyone knows the classic bake sale — delicious treats, long lines, and excited crowds. On Nov. 5, the Venture Club took on the task of organizing their first annual Fall Bake Sale.
The weekend prior, Venture Club members baked a variety of goods. On the day of the event, cake pops, pumpkin bars, spiced cupcakes, sugar cookies, and fudgy brownies were featured. Treats were sold out during break and lunch periods.
Hudson Shen, one of the Venture leaders, said, “We were super excited to teach our members how to market and sell a product while supporting a good cause along the way.”
Proceeds from the bake sale were donated to the JED Foundation, which supports anti-suicide efforts for teens and young adults. Many teachers and staff stopped by to offer donations. Overall, the event was a success for both the team and the community. Whether through club meetings or bake sales, life at Harvard-Westlake is always exciting.
