Homecoming at Harvard-Westlake is always an event to remember. On Sept. 28, families, current students, and alumni gathered for the annual spectacle. This year’s event featured cultural foods at affinity group booths, carnival rides, high-stakes raffles, and, most notably, sports games. One highlight was the football game, where Harvard-Westlake triumphed 38-16 against rival Cantwell Sacred Heart.
The victory wasn’t just the result of seasoned players. Some of our middle schoolers, including ninth-grader Lorenzo Williams, contributed. As an offensive player, Williams made several crucial blocks and even assisted on a few touchdowns.
Reflecting on his experience, Williams said, “It was very surreal, very cool, seeing all the crowds come and watch us play. Yeah, it was a wonderful experience.”
From the game to the festivities, Harvard-Westlake continues to deliver an extraordinary homecoming.
