Asher Butan ’27 is the leader of the Video Game Appreciation Club. VGAC’s purpose is to host a space in which students are allowed to play and share video games on campus during break. Butan started VGAC because of his passions,
“I liked video games a lot, and I wanted to share the experience of playing games with other people,” Butan said. “I also wanted to explain how they were made, and the design philosophy behind games.”
As for the future of the club, Butan has plans.
“I’m probably going to talk about it with Mr. [Peter] Cha ’15, and at the end of the year, I’ll most likely ask the 8th/7th graders in the club if any of them want to take over the club next year.“
In the meantime, Butan wants to expand.
“This year we are planning on having more group-based events. and after-school events.”
VGAC meets every Thursday at break, and whenever there isn’t an assembly during break on Mondays in MR 237.
