Robert Kraft charged with soliciting prostitution

Robert Kraft, owner of the New England Patriots, was charged with two counts of soliciting prostitution in a Florida day spa on Feb. 22. Kraft entered the Orchids of Asia Day Spa in Jupiter, Florida on both Jan. 19 and 20. The 77 year old worth over 6 billion dollars can be seen on a video obtained through a covert, month long investigation into sex trafficking led by Florida police.

Kraft walked into the day spa on Jan. 19 and paid the receptionist an undisclosed amount of money and was then taken to a massage room. In the massage room, a female employee allegedly entered and Kraft committed the crime. He was identified after he entered a white Bentley that was seen at a nearby stoplight.

The next day, Kraft returned and once again proceeded to undress as a woman came and gave him oral sex. Kraft gave the woman a hundred dollar bill and another unidentified bill and left close to 11 am.

These events transpired the day of the AFC championship, one of the largest football games of the year before the Super Bowl. Just six hours after Kraft left the day spa, he arrived in Kansas City, eventually taking his seat in owner’s box of the Patriots for the championship game that they would go onto to win.

Soliciting prostitution is a second-degree misdemeanor and usually comes with a sentence of 60 days in county jail. Kraft has pleaded not guilty and his lawyer has refused to answer any more questions. In a press release his legal counsel said, “We categorically deny that Mr. Kraft engaged in any illegal activity. Because it is a judicial matter, we will not be commenting further.”
