21 Savage Released by ICE

Shayaa Bin Abraham – Joseph, known as 21 Savage, has been released on bond nine days after being arrested by immigration officials. He was accused of illegally overstaying his visa to the united states by 13 years.

This incident was a surprise to much of the public, as his British nationality was not widely known. Upon his release, the rapper’s lawyers took to twitter saying, “He won his freedom,” and thanked his fans for the immense amount of support from their social media posts and wishes.

As well as fans supporting 21 Savage, celebrities such as Jay-Z, Post Malone, Cardi B and Dua Lipa expressed their anger about his arrest by supporting the rapper. 21 Savage was unable to attend or perform at the Grammy Awards even though he was nominated twice for featuring in Post Malone’s single, “rockstar.” In a tweet from his lawyers, they said that 21 Savage wants people to know that “[he] is grateful for the support from around the world and is more than ever, ready to be with his loved ones and continue making music that brings people together.”
