Members of the Cadence for a Cause Club performed for the People Assisting the Homeless (PATH) Center on Dec.14.
“[The trip was] enjoyable, and made me feel good, because it felt awesome not only playing the trumpet for these people that really needed it, but also because I got to hang out with my friends,” trumpeter Nicolas Chorpita ‘22 said.
According to Chorpita, stepping into the shelter felt very sad.
“Once I realized that the seniors were there because they had no one to stay with over the holidays, I felt bad but determined to play.”
According to him, the seniors had smiles on their faces by the end of their holiday carol performance.
The group played songs including “Jingle Bells”, “Carol of the Bells, “Oh Christmas Tree” and a collection of songs from “The Nutcracker”.
