SKYLAR GRAHAM ’20

Varsity Girl’s Golf

What is the most important lesson you’ve learned from playing golf?

“To stay focused when I’m playing, to take a challenge and to conquer it and to persevere no matter what.”

What’s it like playing an individual sport rather than a team sport?

“Playing an individual sport allows me to hone in on what I want to do and to take responsibility for my shots rather than needing the team to back me up. I like playing on the HW team because I have so many people encouraging and supporting me.”

JAKE KELLY ’20

Varsity Football

What originally prompted you to play football?

“It looked fun, and my dad and brother played before me.”

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

“Yes, we have a team prayer and a couple speeches from the captains and the coaches, and then we have a meditation period.”

What is your favorite thing about the sport?

“The team camaraderie and getting to hit people.
