    by Clay Hollander ’19
Singers in Vocal Ensemble performed at the Fulfillment Fund holiday party on Friday, Dec. 4. The Fulfillment Fund is a non profit organization that offers opportunities for kids in underprivileged areas and children with disabilities to get an education. As of 2015, 96% of students who are part of the charity plan to enroll in college.
“Westlake School started this gig about 43 years ago. We have been doing it for 24 years, and this is my 24th time doing this gig. This particular event that they do is for children with disabilities,”  choral director Nina Burtchaell said.
The Ensemble performed three songs: “ A Christmas In About 3 Minutes,” “Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer” and “Ave Maria.”
“It’s good to help other people. That’s what our school is about, going out into the community and helping other people,” Burtchaell said.
Members of the choir also seemed to enjoy the event.
“It was an amazing experience performing at the Fulfillment Fund. It was great to see all of the kids and how happy they were to come to the event. It made me feel grateful about how much we have going to a school like Harvard Westlake,” singer Chloe Donovan ‘19 said.
